A Women's Refugee Fashion Show By Give Your Best
Over the past few months, Leiho supported Give Your Best for The Good Fashion Show, an event featuring women who are refugees or asylum seekers to empower them and encourage sustainability within the fashion industry for Sustainable Fashion Week 2022!
Give Your Best is a Tech for Good non-profit platform where people can donate their clothes online for refugee women to shop for the items they need for FREE. This allows a system of circular fashion, giving clothing items a second home but also giving refugee women the choice to choose their own style, fashion and needs.
On 20th September 2022, Give Your Best hosted their fashion show, featuring 10 beautiful refugee women to walk the runway wearing clothing from 15 different fashion brand sponsors including Treun House Attelier, The Good House London, Rose Corps, Fouremme, Dai, Yes Friends, Karen Gold, Kloth London, Sabinna, Law Design Studio, Fanfare the Label, Sancho's, Oshana and TOMS Shoes.
Leiho was also able to provide our smiley bamboo socks and tote bags for the models to wear and for the guests of the show to take home in their goodie bags!
The beautiful venue was offered by Lab E20, an innovative community-led venue designed by Christopher Raeburn. There were also lots of delicious food and drinks provided by partners including canapés provided by The Syrian Sunflower, gluten free snacks by Gracefully Free, drinks by HumaniTea, Sassy Cidre, Seedlip, Toast Ale, Hip Pop, and Sea Change.
And lastly, a huge shoutout to our wonderful co-founder Joey Li, Sol Escobar the founder of Give Your Best and their incredible team for their hard work co-hosting and bringing the entire show to life.
