Wrap Up of Our Do Good Feel Great Event: Impact Making Workshop For Little Lives UK

On Thursday 11th May, we gathered together for our first ever impact community event at PIE Factory to make care packages for children supported by Little Lives UK, an incredible charity supporting kids that are disabled or from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Here is how the evening went!

At 6:30 pm the guests arrived and began the night by networking and enjoying nibbles and drinks kindly sponsored by Mister Freed, Sassy Cidre and Karma Drinks

By 7 pm, we broke off into teams and started creating the care packages! We had items for ages ranging from babies up to 15 years old. It was truly a great example of team work because in the end we made over 55 care packages for the children!

Additionally, we also had our lovely attendees pumping footballs donated by Alive & Kicking who rescue wasted fabrics and materials to produce their incredible footballs.

We also had plain white sweaters donated by Afternoon Crumbs so we sourced fabric markers and colourful iron patches for attendees to make DIY sweater designs for the children. Check out some of the talent we had that evening:

After all the packing, Tom from Little Lives UK gave us a short talk about Little Lives UK and the work they are doing to support children with disabilities and from disadvantaged backgrounds. Tom and his partner Jasmine very kindly drove down to London that evening to be able to transport all of the care packages we made back to their headquarters in Poole!

All in all, we had a wholesome evening creating packages that would put a smile on the children supported by Little Lives UK. We would like to say a big thank you to all of the sponsors who kindly donated items for the care packs:

-       John Lewis for donating 40 boxes of kids legos

-       Hunter & Co. and Pexmas for donating baby clothing and toys

-       The Den Kit Co. for donating bug spotting nature kits

-       Beechfield for donating drawstring bags

-       Afternoon Crumbs for donating sweaters

-       Alive & Kicking for donating 20 footballs

Lastly, we also wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who attended our first ever impact making workshop. This was an evening well-spent making care packages for kids over some drinks and pizza. Want to join our next event?
