Donating Stationary and Essentials to 'Forgotten Women' For Women and Children in Afghanistan
Forgotten Women is a UK based charity established in 2016, dedicated to restoring dignity, independence, and safety to vulnerable women across the globe. They operate through three main pillars:
- Safe Aid- delivering emergency relief directly by women
- Transforming Lives - supporting women to start businesses and break the cycle of poverty
- Advocacy - raising global awareness and championing women's rights in marginalised communities.
They run outreach projects in countries including Somalia, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Yemen, Afghanistan, Syria, Gaza, and within the UK.
Some of their recent work includes their “Wells of Dignity” initiative in Pakistan, Yemen, Bangladesh and Afghanistan where they provided safe water access for communities. They also initiated the “Rebuilding Lives programme”, helping women in Bangladesh to open small shops, regain financial stability, and rebuild hope.
We are deeply inspired by Forgotten Women’s mission and are honoured to have contributed to their most recent deployment to help women and children in Afghanistan who live within communities that need immediate relief. Thanks to the support of our community, we were able to send meaningful supplies that bring warmth, comfort and joy to the women and children.
Here's what the support from our community helped with:
📚 80 stationary packs to help children continue their education
🧸 100 kids toys to bring smiles and entice playtime
🧦 60 pairs of bamboo socks to bring comfort to the women's working feet
🧤 64 pairs of gloves and hand warmers for added comfort in the cold

Our co-founder Joey Li made this partnership even more heartwarming by bringing her young nephews involved in the packing process of the donations. We truly believe that small acts of kindness, when done together, can create lasting change. And it's never too early to teach the next generation about giving back.
