AR Food Project weekly soup kitchen in Croydon for low income families and individuals

160 items of essentials donated to AR Food Project

The Leiho team joined the amazing AR Food Project's weekly women-run soup kitchen that they run every Thursdays for a second time! We brought our new Events Executive Bella to her very first outreach session with us and she powered through like a soldier, alongside all the other volunteers, through the pouring rain and puddles.

Of course we couldn't go empty handed, so we brought a mix of essentials, from sanitary care, toiletries, clothing as well as treats like chocolates and crisps! A total of 160 items were donated on the day, and this is all possible due to the support of our community!

Every week, the amazing team of volunteers at AR Food Project sets up a stall in Croydon without failure to provide groceries, cooked meals, essentials, tea and coffee to low income families and individuals. We are so grateful to have met Amy and her volunteers who organises and runs the weekly soup kitchen. And at the end of each session, if they had leftover meals and essentials, they will go out of their way to hand deliver food parcels to the families in the area that they usually support who weren't able to attend the soup kitchen themselves. This just goes to show how much impact we can make to someone's life if we all worked together through kindness!
