Over 1500 Meals Donated to Those Affected by Isolation During the Pandemic.

Last month, we ran our 1 Pair = 4 Meals campaign as a response to those affected in isolation. We'd like to start off by saying a big thank you to everyone who supported us and helped make it happen.

When lockdown began and things started to change, we knew we needed to try and help vulnerable people during this difficult time. We decided to reach out to Shin Dhother, the founder of Slough Outreach. We partnered with them by converting our sock donations into meals so that we could help them support local communities.

With the help of our amazing customers, we’ve managed to donate over 1500 different food and beverages to those in need. We were also able to give some socks, colouring books and playing cards to help keep families entertained!

Slough Outreach have a team of very selfless and passionate volunteers that are wanting to improve the lives of those that society has forgotten by providing hot food, warm clothes and a lot of love, care and support.

Shin says, “We are very fortunate to have the support of communities and like minded groups to support those less fortunate.”

So if you’re looking to give back and do good - reach out to them! They have a 100% no cash policy and solely rely on donated items to operate.

We asked Shin Dhother how you can get involved and support them:

  1. Help in our outreach kitchen at Langley college.
  2. Deliver food and essential parcels to those in need.
  3. Donate essential items needed to serve our friends.
  4. Share the work we do.

Thank you Slough Outreach for your generosity and determination to serve humanity. Keep up the good work and we look forward to working with you again soon!
