Why We Chose to Use Bamboo

Today, we are facing a wealth of new and detrimental environmental issues all over the world.

At this point there is no denying that this changing environment is having an effect on life around us. We are the generation that needs to take responsibility for transforming the way we consume and purchase. We should start taking conscious steps and making more sustainable choices. That is why we’ve decided to make our first release of do-gooder socks out of Bamboo.

Bamboo socks are simply made out of bamboo fibre, with a small blend of mixed fabrics to ensure ultimate comfort for your feet!

HERE'S WHY WE CHOSE TO USE BAMBOO:

It’s eco-friendly and kind to the environment

The production process of bamboo only requires 1/3 of the amount of water needed to grow cotton! Imagine how much water we save just by switching to a kinder, comfier and more sustainable fabric. It doesn’t require irrigation in the same way other crops do, therefore saving one of our most valuable resources for those who need it more.

Yep… it’s organic!

Bamboo is grown organically and it’s hypoallergenic. This means that it does not have pesticides or harmful chemicals because bamboo itself is a naturally antibacterial, antifungal and odor resistant fibre. (That means no smelly feet!)

Temperature adapting

With its temperature adapting characteristics, bamboo can be breathable during the summer and warm during cold weather. This again helps to diminish the likelihood of foot odor as bamboo is better at wicking away moisture from the body.

Wait... these socks are compostable?!

At the end of their life cycle, bamboo products can be composted thus causing less waste to the environment.

We make it our job not only to contribute to making a social impact but to also be conscious of our environmental footprint. Bamboo socks are not only kinder to the environment, but they are kinder to your skin too!
